A FEW FIGURES ABOUT THE EVENT

As of today, 15 federations and more than 250 models have been registered to take part in the Ship Model Building World Championship in Chateaulin.

Among the participating national federations can be found today Germany, Belgium, Bielorussia, Bulgary, China, Croatia, Italy, Ouzbekistan, Nederlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and France of course.

GETTING TO CHATEAULIN

The Pays du Menez-Hom Atlantique is well serviced by air, road and train alike :

• From Paris : Motorway A11, A81 then Voie Express from Rennes.
• Airports in Lorient (Lann-Bihoué), Quimper (Pluguffan) and Brest (Guipavas) are all linked to Châteaulin via highways (being referred to as "routes nationales" in France).
• By train: TGV from Paris (gare Montparnasse) to Brest or Quimper.

VISITORS RECEPTION AND ENTRANCE FEES

The exhibition will take place starting July 3rd up until July 11th at Coatigrac'h. The site will be open to visitors from 10h00 to18h00. The opening ceremony will be held July 3 in the afternoon with a parade through Chateaulin. The closing ceremony will be held July 11th in the morning.

COMPETITORS RECEPTION

Reception and registration for the competitors will take place all day of July 2nd, as well as the morning of July 3rd.

EXHIBITION, COMPETITION AND SITE WATCH

As mentioned in the registration forms and with regards to the visitors, the models will have to remain in demonstration on the tables for all the duration of the competition. The tables themselves will be protected by a security perimeter and site watch will be organized at night by professionals.

The models won't be allowed to leave the exhibition site until the 11th of July at 12 o'clock.

Standings display ans medals awarding will take place through the duration of the championship according to the progress of the notation by the judges. Evaluation of the models will take place from the 4th of July to the 10th of July (except for the 7th of July, rest day).

ON-SITE CATERING AND ANIMATIONS

As mentioned in the registration forms, on-site catering will be organized for the competitors, judges and voluntaries. Visitors will also be presented with a quick catering service.
